J. Michael "Mike" Evans (born August 16, 1957 in Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian rower. He was a member of the Canadian men's eights team that won the gold medal at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, California. His twin brother Mark was on the same winning team. He is a graduate of Upper Canada College, Princeton University and Oxford University. He was previously Vice Chairman of Goldman Sachs and Chairman of Goldman Sachs Asia.[1] He had also previously studied at University College, Oxford[2] where he rowed at the stroke oar for Oxford in the Oxford-Cambridge Boat Race.[3][4]
