Michael Burns (born 1961) is an Irish retired Gaelic footballer who played as a midfielder for the Cork senior team.

Burns joined the team during the 1982 championship and was a regular on the starting fifteen until his retirement after the 1990 championship. During that time he won one All-Ireland medals as a non-playing substitute.

At club level Burns is a one-time Munster medalist with Castlehaven. In addition to this he has also won one county club championship medal.[1]
