Michael Birkett, 2nd Baron Birkett
Michael Birkett, 2nd Baron Birkett (22 October 1929 - 3 April 2015),[1] was a British hereditary peer.

The son of William Norman Birkett, 1st Baron Birkett and his wife, Ruth (née Nilsson), .Birkett was educated at Stowe School, Buckingham before going up to Cambridge University. Birkett succeeded as 2nd Baron Birkett, a title created for his father in 1958 in the Peerage of the United Kingdom), on 10 February 1962. He was admitted to the livery of the Worshipful Company of Curriers, serving as Master between 1975 and 1976. Birkett pursued a career as a film producer and assistant director.
On 13 October 1960, Birkett married Mrs Junia Crawford (née Elliott); Lady Birkett died in 1973.[2] In 1978, he married Gloria Taylor, daughter of Thomas Taylor, and their only child, Hon Thomas Birkett[3] (born 25 July 1982), succeeded him. Gloria Birkett died 10 February 2001.[2]
