Michael Axworthy

Michael Axworthy is a British academic, author, commentator and was the head of the Iran section at the British Foreign & Commonwealth Office between 1998-2000.

He has written articles for Prospect and The Independent, and appeared on radio program Start the Week.

In 2008 he was appointed director of the newly established Centre for Persian and Iranian Studies (CPIS) at Exeter University.
