Micah Thomas Miller (born February 14, 1987) is an American mixed martial artist who trains out of Coconut Creek, Florida with American Top Team. He is the younger brother of MMA fighter Cole Miller.
Background
Miller is a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Master Ricardo Liborio.
Micah attended Mount de Sales Academy in Macon, Georgia where he was a standout wrestler, winning many tournaments. Miller placed 2nd(2x) and 3rd in the GISA State Championships.
Like his older brother, Cole, he trained with the Macon based Team Praxis under instructor Cam McHargue. Micah, still a senior in high school, made his amateur mixed martial arts (MMA) debut in 2005 against John Trent at the conclusion of his final wrestling season. Micah went on to have a undefeated amateur record (5-0) where he defeated future WEC World Bantamweight Champion Brian Bowles via triangle choke. Micah has gone on to fight in many organizations such as the WEC (World Extreme Cagefighting), DREAM, ASTRA, and Tachi FIghting Championships.
Dream Featherweight Grand Prix
Micah competed in the Dream Featherweight(63 kg / 138 lb) Grand Prix.[1] He lost a hard fought bought in the first round of the tournament to Yoshiro Maeda via unanimous decision.
The Ultimate Fighter
Miller fought in the first episode of TUF Season 14 in the featherweight division. Micah lost his preliminary fight by third round submission to Steven Siler.
