History and Information
The school was built in 1955. Miami Springs Middle has been recognized for being a healthy school.[1] President Clinton recognized the school for its healthy reforms at the bronze level, as well.[2]
Children from all over the Miami Metropolitan Area attend, as its enrollment is 1,452.[3]
It has a magnet program, specializing in science and engineering, is sponsored by MAST Academy, and has an honors program. It is neighbored by a MDCPS Regional Building, which used to be an elementary school.
