Mette Groetteland

Lt. Mette Groetteland became the first female fighter pilot in the Royal Norwegian Air Force after qualifying to fly the General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon in 1992. Mette Grøtteland was the first female F-16 fighter pilot in 1992, and went under the name "Jet Mette". Later she flew Boeing 737 civilian. In 2006 she converted to the helicopter and returned to the Air Force in 2007 as a helicopter pilot in Sea King by 330 squadron at Sola.
