Metro Video Productions

Metro Video Productions is a video production company in Lima, Ohio. Established in 1993 by Greg Phipps, Metro broke into the television market with its acquisition of low-power television stations WOHL-CD and WLQP-LP in Lima, Ohio. In 2004, Metro acquired three additional stations: WFND-LP in Findlay, Ohio, WLMO-LP in Lima, Ohio, and WBKA-CA in Bucyrus, Ohio.

Greg Phipps currently serves as the director of the Community Broadcasters Association.

In 2008, Metro Video Productions sold its television stations. WBKA was sold to Studio 51 Multi-Media Productions that April;[1] the remaining stations were announced to be sold to West Central Ohio Broadcasting, Inc. on November 29 with the deal closing on February 5, 2009. One of the latter company's heads, Allan J. Block, is the chairman of Block Communications.[2]
