Merkur, subtitled Deutsche Zeitschrift für europäisches Denken, is a German intellectual magazine, published monthly in Stuttgart by Klett Cotta.[1] The magazine has been published since 1947 and has an edition of approximately 4,800 copies as of July 2011.[1] As of August 2011, more than 750 issues of the journal have been published.[2]
