Mercedes Rosalba Aráoz Fernández (Lima, 5 August 1961) is a Peruvian economist, professor, and politician. She served as Minister of Foreign Commerce and Tourism from 2006[1] to December 2009,[2] after which she was appointed as Peru's Finance Minister.

Aráoz graduated from the University of the Pacific in Lima and the University of Miami.[3][4]

On 2 November, Aráoz agreed to be the Presidential Candidate of the Peruvian Aprista Party (APRA) for the 2011 presidential elections. However, she withdrew her candidacy on 16 January, and the APRA party did not field any candidate.
