The Mercedes-Benz AMG C-Class W203 DTM is a Touring car (DTM) constructed by the German car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz. It was the successor to the Mercedes-Benz CLK DTM who permanently retired after 2003 season and based as Mercedes-Benz C-Class W203 first generation car. Mercedes-Benz AMG C-Class W203 DTM makes first roll-out on February 3, 2004 in the Circuit de Catalunya.[1]
Technical details
Like all racing cars of the DTM is based on the C-Class W203 DTM only look at the eponymous series cars. Constructed is the prototype of a CFK - monocoque chassis with an integrated 15.4-imperial gallons fuel tank. Since refuelling at this time was the duty still in the race, a 26.4-imperial gallons tank was not built as from 2012. The C-Class W203 DTM is powered by a 4,000 cc (4.0 L; 244.1 cu in) Mercedes-Benz naturally-aspirated V8 engine, power output approximately 476 hp (355 kW; 483 PS) and maximum torque approximately more than 490 N·m (360 ft·lbf). The rear-wheel drive C-Class DTM also has a sequential 6-speed sports transmission, a 3-plate carbon fiber clutch supplied by Sandtler (2004-2006) and an adjustable multi-disc limited-slip differential.
