Memecylon varians is a species of plant in the Melastomataceae family. It is endemic to Sri Lanka.
Leaves
ovate-lanceolate, tapering base, caudate-acuminate to acute apex, thick, veins hardly visible.
Trunk
twigs quadrangular.
Flowers
pale blue-white, nearly sessile; Inflorescence - small axillary heads.
Fruits
berry capped with small calyx rim.
Ecology
montane and rain forest subcanopy.
