Memecylon macrocarpum is a species of plant in the Melastomataceae family. It is endemic to Sri Lanka. It is extinct from the natural habitats in Sri Lanka, and only live specimen of this species is planted in Royal Botanical Gardens, Peradeniya. It is known in Sinhala as "Maha Kuratiya".
