Melanotic neuroectodermal tumor of infancy

Melanotic neuroectodermal tumor of infancy is a cutaneous condition that is a developmental disorder present at birth.[1]

A rare, aggressive tumor of neural crest origin. Most likely appears in the anterior maxilla. It is a rapidly expanding, destructive bony lesion which may appear blue on the surface. Radiographically it appears as an ill defined radiolucency and toothbuds appear to be "floating". It mimics malignant disease. Prognosis: 20% recur
