The Two-striped Grasshopper (Melanoplus bivittatus) is a species of grasshopper belonging to the genus Melanoplus. It is considered a pest species to the United States and Canada.[1]
A relatively large species, its size ranges from 30 to 55 mm.[2] A pair of pale yellow stripes running along the top of it body from above its eyes to the hind tip of its wings identify this species.
