Mehmet Akif Pasha also known as Arnavut Mehmet Akif Pasha and Kalkandereli Mehmed Akif Pasha was an Albanian[1] statesman and governor of the Ottoman Empire.
Starting from the year 1860 until 1893, He was the governor of nine different provinces. These province are:[2]
- Salonica Vilayet
- Danube Vilayet
- Bosnia Vilayet
- Prizren Vilayet
- Janina Vilayet
- Adrianople Vilayet
- Baghdad Vilayet
- Konya Vilayet
- Vilayet of the Archipelago
Between March 1874 to June 1875, Mehmet Akif was appointed Minister of Justice. In addition, Mehmet Akif was the head of the Council of State (Şura-yı Devle).
