McKenzi Novell
McKenzi Novell is a beauty pageant titleholder from Redmond, Washington. She is an honor graduate of Gonzaga University. Novell volunteers with the non-profit organization, Communities in Schools.[1]
Novell was crowned Miss Washington USA 2015[2] She will represent Washington at Miss USA 2015.[3] Previously Novell won the 2011 Miss Seattle title. Also Novell was named Miss Spokane Outstanding Teen in 2008.[4][5]
"McKenzi Novell, Miss Spokane 2012, now holds the world record for the longest standing female Salvation Army bell ringer. She stood outside in the cold weather without eating, sitting, or sleeping for 52.5 hours—all while continuously ringing the red handheld bell."[6] The previous record for a female doing continuous bell ringing was 27 hours. Novell competed against Spokane Salvation Army Captain Kyle and Marcus Riccelli, Washington State Representative. $10,000 was raised for the charity.
