Mayuto Correa

Mayuto Correa (born 9 March 1943) is a Brazilian percussionist, guitarist, and composer. He was born in São Gonçalo, Rio de Janeiro and began playing in local bands there from the age of 12. He later worked in Mexico with the Brazilian bossa nova group Tamba 4 before moving to the United States. He established himself as a musician in Los Angeles in the early 1970s where he also became the record producer for the Argentine group Arco Iris who had moved to the US and shifted from rock to jazz.[1][2][3]
