Count Maximilian von Götzen-Iturbide, Prince Imperial of Mexico (born 2 March 1944) is the head of the Imperial House of Mexico since 1949.

Biography

Maximilian was born in Bistrița, Romania, the son of Count Gustav von Götzen and Baroness Maria Gizela Tunkl von Aschbrunn und Hohenstadt. Her mather was the granddaughter of Salvador de Iturbide y Marzán, Prince of Iturbide, and an adopted son of Emperor Maximilian I of Mexico and his consort, Charlotte of Belgium.
