Max Baumert (born 16 July 1992) is a German Muay Thai kickboxer. He is currently fighting out of the Golden Glory Germany Gym based in Berlin, Germany, where he is trained by Andy Schadenberg.

Biography and career

Max Baumert discovered early his passion for martial arts. At the age of 10 he began karate. Since 2006, he trained Kick and -Thaiboxing. In 2007 he began with amateur boxing, in 2008 he had his first boxing match. Since then he has had 35 boxing matches(28-6-1).

In 2009, Max Baumert had his first K-1 fight. Since 2010, he fights for Golden Glory Berlin.

He was expected to face Hunkar Kilic at Glory 6: Istanbul in Istanbul, Turkey on April 6, 2013 but his opponent was then changed to Ismail Uzuner.[1] He knocked Uzuner out with a high kick in round one.[2]

At the KOK World Grand Prix 2013 -156 lb tournament in Magdeburg, Germany on November 23, 2013, Baumert beat Mohammed El-Mir by unanimous decision in the quarter-finals before losing to eventual champion Chris Baya by KO in the semis.[3][4]
