Maverik Lacrosse is a manufacturer of lacrosse equipment and apparel, based in New York City. The company was founded by professional lacrosse players John Gagliardi and Jay Jalbert in 2005.
The Maverik team includes John Gagliardi (lacrosse), Kyle Sweeney, Drew Adams, Billy Bitter, Mike Springer, Johnny Christmas, JoJo Marasco, Peet Poillon, Chris Bocklet, Brian Karalunas, CJ Costabile, Chris Eck, Kip Turner, & Joe Cinosky.
Maverik designs and develops lacrosse heads, gloves, arm pads, shoulder pads, and shafts. Some of their products include their Rome line of gloves & protective, the Wonderboy, A1, & H2 shafts, and the all new Metrik head designed and manufactured in the USA.
On June 3, 2010, it was announced that Maverik Lacrosse was acquired by Private Equity group Kohlberg & Co, for an undisclosed sum. Kohlberg & Co. is also the parent company of Bauer Sports.
