Maverick Weller (born 13 February 1992) is an Australian rules footballer for the St Kilda Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL).
Playing career
2011-13: Career with Gold Coast
He made his debut against Western Bulldogs[1] in Round 3 of the 2011 season and featured in the Gold Coast's first ever win[2] over Port Adelaide at AAMI Stadium on 23 April 2011.
Weller was delisted by the Suns on September 2, 2013, after playing just 4 games in the Suns' 2013 AFL season.
2014-present: Career with St Kilda
He was taken in the 2013 Rookie Draft by St Kilda. Weller got into the Saints' in Round 7, 2014 and has played well and a permanent member of the midfield after starting as rover or ruck rover. Weller has also been used as tagger.
