Mattias Johansson (born 16 February 1992) is a Swedish footballer who plays for AZ as a right back.[1]
Sweden
Johansson made his debut for the National Team on 1 July 2014 in a 2-0 defeat to Belgium replacing Mikael Lustig with 5 minutes remaining.
Johansson has also represented his county at U21, U19 and U17 levels. He has participated in U21 Euro Qualification.
Kalmar FF
2009
Johansson made his competitive debut in the league against GAIS Göteborg on 17 October 2009. He made a further 3 appearances including 2 substitutions.
2010
This season Johansson would get more playing time as he appeared in 15 games as Kalmar finished the season 9th on 40 points along with 3 other teams (Djurgardens IF, BK Häcken and IFK Göteborg). He also appeared in the clubs Europa League qualifying campaign playing all 6 matches and scoring his first goal for the club against Levski Sofia.
2011
Johansson featured regularly in all competitions including 24 league appearances and a further 3 in the Svenska Cupen which unfortunately was lost in the final against Helsingborgs IF
AZ Alkmaar
AZ Alkmaar signed Johansson on a 4 year contract for a fee of around €1.5 million on 27 January 2012.[2]
2011-12
After signing in the winter transfer window Johansson only made four substitute appearances, playing just over one hour in his debut season.
2012-13
Johansson was once again used primarily as a substitute when he was included in the first team squad and only completed a full 90 minute game on two occasions and being substitute on 10 times.
2013-14
This season was to be Johansson most productive in the league as he replaced the consistent Dirk Marcellis who unfortunately has major knee injuries. Johansson played in 46 games: including 27 in the league where he scored 4 goals, 11 Europa League games as AZ reached the semi-final and in the extra-time defeat to Ajax in the Dutch Super Cup.
