Former kart rival of Fernando Alonso and Andre' Lotterer, for example look at this link http://karting.archive.netcopy.co.uk/article/september-1995/6/uropean-junior_-championship-cadet-rainbow-troph-a . Matteo compete in karting championships from 1991 to 2000,he soon demonstrate his big potential with a lot of victory competing for Italian championship,European championship and World championship. After karting, the vice-world championship Meneghello competed in Italian Formula Renault Elf Campus where he is second in 1998 and third in 1999 after a battle with drivers like Mirko Venturi and Marino Spinozzi and Ivan Abrate. In both series he could stay on top ten, not always brilliant in the qualifying sessions, but always really fast during the races like in Rockingam When he competed for the victory With Lewis Hamilton .Then in 2004, he moved up to the Formula Renault V6 Eurocup, but scored just six points in a part of a championship with a not competitive team.

Meneghello also competed in both the Euro and FIA Formula 3000 series in 2004, but was limited to only one race in each.
World Series Renault 3500
Meneghello has competed in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series series in 2005 and 2006, but with limited success. He was sixth in Monza at the last race after stayed on pole position during the qualify session. Along with Pastor Maldonado, he was banned for four races in 2005 for his role in an accident at Monaco which left a marshal seriously injured.[1]
Endurance Gt Series
In 2007 Meneghello moved up to Gt with a Dodge Viper and with three first places and several podiums at the end of the championship he won the title of GT3 class in couple With Andrea Pellizzato (Meneghello in Genuary 2004 drove a Ferrari in the historical Daytona 24 hours).
Italian Gt championship
In 2008 and 2009 Meneghello took part at few races of Italian Gt championship with two podium (third position) like best results with a Porsche Gt3 cup in couple With Riccardo Bianco.
Superstars International Series
In 2010 Meneghello made his debut in the Superstars International Series with a Jaguar XF at Hockenheim ring. He was in eighth position during the first race but engine problem stopped his race before the end. He was limited to only one race. Font: England. Matteo had not enough money to go to F1 or to continue his career after the worldwide crisis. For me he was one of the fastest drivers of the world.
