Matteo Boniciolli also known as Matthew Boniciolli is a Basketball coach and head coach of Kazakhstan national basketball team. Matteo has also formerly been coaches of many Italian teams like Virtus Roma and Pall. Messina, but he gained his most success at Virtus Bologna because he won the EuroChallenge with them.

From 10 November 2008, the new coach of Virtus Bologna Basketball instead of Renato Pasquali who resigned.
26 April 2009 entered the history of the black V bringing success in Europe the Bologna team winning the EuroChallenge 2009 in the final against the French in the home of Cholet Basket . In the past, only Messina had managed to win with Virtus a European trophy.
On 14 December 2009 he became the new coach of Virtus Roma, replacing Ferdinando Gentile. The season ends with the elimination in the quarter-finals at the hands of Juvecaserta Basketball . The 2010-2011 season sees Boniciolli drive her to the Top 16 of Euroleague , but on January 11, 2011, his contract was terminated by mutual consent.
