Matt Rees is an award-winning,[1] up and coming Welsh comedian.

Rees is a Chortle Awards nominee[2] and is making his name on the comedy circuit having recently supported Elis James. He performed as part of the Pleasance Reserve at Edinburgh Festival Fringe this year (2012).

He has been nominated for and won numerous awards including Welsh Unsigned Stand-up Award, Loaded Laftas New Act of the Year, Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year[3] and Chortle Best Newcomer.

He cites Sean Lock, Jack Dee and Dara Ó Briain amongst his influences.[4]
