Matt Jones is an American football running back who plays for the Washington Redskins. He played college football at Florida.
Early years
Jones attended Armwood High School in Seffner, Florida. He was a four-star recruit by Rivals.com and was ranked as the 15th best running back in his class.[1] He committed to the University of Florida to play college football.[2][3]
College career
Jones appeared in 12 games as a true freshman in 2012. He rushed for 275 yards on 52 carries with three touchdowns.[4] As a sophomore in 2013, Jones played in only five games due to a torn meniscus.[5] He finished the year with 339 yards on 79 carries with two touchdowns.[6] He returned from the injury his junior season in 2014.[7]
Jones entered the 2015 NFL Draft, after his junior season.[8][9]
