Matthew Daniel "Matt" Hammitt (born October 19, 1979) is an American contemporary Christian singer-songwriter born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. Hammitt released the album Every Falling Tear in 2011, which was his first solo album apart from Sanctus Real, but he is still a part of that band.

Solo career

Hammitt's son's condition spurred him onto publish his debut solo album apart from his band Sanctus Real.[2] The album's release date was not timed to coincide with Bowen's first surgery; it was just a mere happenstance.[2]
