Matt Flannery is an American businessman, and co-founder of the non-profit Kiva. Flannery co-founded Kiva with Jessica Jackley.

Career

Flannery began co-developing Kiva_(organization) in late 2004 while working as a computer programmer at TiVo, Inc. In December 2005 he left TiVo to work on the Kiva_(organization) project full-time. Flannery is a Skoll Awardee and Ashoka Fellow and was selected for the Fortune Magazine's 40 Under 40 List in 2009. In 2011, Flannery was selected for the The Economist "No Boundaries" Innovation Award. Flannery graduated with a BS in Symbolic Systems, and a Masters in Philosophy from Stanford University.

Personal life

Flannery was previously married to Jessica Jackley, co-founder of Kiva. He married his second wife, Breanna DiGiammarino, on 5th July 2014 at Kunde Family Estate, California. Flannery currently lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, California.
