Matt Billingslea is a Nashville-based drummer, born on January 4 in Westminster, MD, currently touring with Taylor Swift. Matt has toured on The Red Tour with Taylor Swift and will soon be touring on the 1989 World Tour. In the past, Billingslea toured with country singer/songwriter Gary Allan, and spent 3 years performing and co-writing with multi-Grammy winners Lady Antebellum. Recently, he has performed on The Late Show with David Letterman, Ellen and on Jimmy Kimmel Live, just to name a few. Matt has performed with James Taylor, Tim McGraw, Ed Sheeran and T.I. He is a native of Westminster, Maryland. He started playing drums at age ten and played in local and regional bands through high school. He holds a Bachelor of Music from Capital University, with a double major in Jazz Studies and Music Industry.

As the drummer for seven-time Grammy winning international superstar Taylor Swift, Matt Billingslea is currently traveling on the RED Tour, performing for sold-out crowds as Swift headlines stadiums and arenas around the world. In addition to the tour, Matt’s performances with Swift have included the Grammy Awards, the Billboard Music Awards, the BRIT Awards, and numerous promotional appearances around the world.

Prior to joining pop-star Taylor Swift, Matt Billingslea spent three years touring with multi-Grammy winners Lady Antebellum, and during that time co-wrote “Wanted You More,” a top-20 single from Lady A’s third album, Own The Night.
