Matt Barton

Matt Barton (born August 20, 1977) is a video game industry journalist, historian, and editor, and an associate professor of English at St. Cloud State University.[1] He presently resides in St. Cloud, Minnesota with his wife Elizabeth Barton.
Matt is a former founder and managing editor of Armchair Arcade and author of Vintage Games: An Insider Look at the History of Grand Theft Auto, Super Mario, and the Most Influential Games of All Time;[2] Dungeons and Desktops: The History of Computer Role-playing Games;[3] and Wiki Writing: Collaborative Learning in the College Classroom.[4] He is also producing a feature film documentary called Gameplay: The Story of the Videogame Revolution[5]
Since 2009 he has produced a weekly YouTube channel called Matt Chat. The videos include reviews of retro games and interviews with game developers such as John Romero, Brian Fargo, Tim Cain and Chris Avellone.
