Matoma

Tom Stræte Lagergren (born 11 September, 1991), commonly known by his stage name Matoma, is a Norwegian DJ and record producer. He is best known for his club remix of the track "Old Thing Back" by The Notorious B.I.G., which has been played 9.1 million times on Soundcloud and around 6.5 million times on YouTube.[1][2] The remix entered and peaked at number two on VG-lista, the official Norwegian singles chart, as well as number 11 on Sverigetopplistan, the official Swedish singles chart.[3][4] The remix initially became popular in the summer of 2014 when it reached number 1 on a music blog called hypem.com with many record companies expressing interest in Matoma's work after hearing the remix. Ja Rule, who is featured on the original track, also tweeted that he loved the track. [5]
