Matia Marcantuoni (born February 22, 1994) is a Canadian ice hockey player. He is currently playing for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in the American Hockey League (AHL).
Marcantuoni was the captain of Team Ontario when it won the gold medal at the 2011 World U-17 Hockey Challenge,[1] and he was also a member of the Canadian Under-18 team which won the 2011 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament.
A shoulder injury in his draft year hurt Marcantuoni's stock and he was taken in the fourth round (92nd overall) by the Pittsburgh Penguins. During his final junior season in 2013–14 with the Kitchener Rangers of the Ontario Hockey League, he was signed to a three-year entry level contract with the Penguins on October 19, 2013.[2]
