Matahora Airport is an airport located in Wangi-wangi Island, Wakatobi, South East Sulawesi, Indonesia.

The airport construction began on 2007 with an investment of 100 billions Rupiah from South East Sulawesi province government. The airport was inaugurated on May 22, 2009 by then-Indonesian minister of transportation Jusman Safi'i Jamal.[2]

Expansion

In 2012, 2,000 meters runway is extended to 2,500 meters together with addition of the pavement from 5 centimeters to 12 centimeters to facilitate Boeing 737.[3]
