Masanori Hikichi
Masanori Hikichi (曳地 正則 Hikichi Masanori, born October 30, 1969), is a Japanese video game music sound designer, most well known for writing the soundtrack to Terranigma, along with Miyoko Takaoka. He also contributed to the soundtracks to the NEC PC Engine port of Langrisser: The Descendants of Light, Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and The Granstream Saga. Hikichi was first an employee of Cube, working on games for various systems. He later joined both Quintet (1995-1998) and Shade, Inc. (1997-2000) to create music and sound effects for Saturn and PlayStation 1 titles.
Hikichi was born in Saitama Prefecture, Japan. At the age of 14, he watched the performance of some band on television, and that led him to become a musician. When he was in high school, he started to compose music for his band to perform. After high school, he attended music school.
