Marvin Powell (born August 30, 1955 in Fort Bragg, NC) is a former Offensive Tackle for the New York Jets and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
College career
Powell was elected into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1994. He was all-Pac-10 three years and All-America two years.
Professional career

He was a five-time pro bowler between 1977 and 1983.
Powell graduated in 1977 with a degree in political science and speech. As a professional athlete in New York City, he wrote a newspaper column. He was also elected president of the players' union. He worked as an intern at the New York Stock Exchange and spent six off-seasons getting his law degree from New York Law School.
His son, Marvin Powell III, played football at the University of Southern California between 1995 and 1998 and played professionally for the New Orleans Saints in 1999.
