Martin Bauer (born 30 December 1975 in Mödling) is an Austrian motorcycle racer.
He was champion of the German IDM Superbike series in 2007, 2008 and 2011 riding a Honda CBR1000RR in 2007 and 2008 and a KTM 1190 RC8 in 2011, he also has raced in two Superbike World Championship races, one in 2007 and other in 2008 riding a Honda in those races, he finished out of the points in both times, and he raced as a Wildcard in the 2013 Czech Republic motorcycle Grand Prix[1] riding a Suter-BMW for Remus Racing Team an all-Austrian racing team, he finished 21st, one lap down. In 2008 he raced for Ten Kate Racing replacing an injured Ryuichi Kiyonari in the Magny-Cours round in Race 1 he finished 17th, two positions behind the points, and Race 2 he retired on lap 3,[2] in his previous Superbike race, who was in 2007 he raced as a wildcard for Honda Holzhauer Racing Team in the Eurospeedway Lausitz round, he retired in Race 1, and he finished 17th in Race 2.
He is the first Austrian to race in MotoGP since Andreas Meklau in 1993.
