Marshall railway station is located on the Port Fairy line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the southern Geelong suburb of Marshall opening as Coonewarra on 14 July 1879, being renamed Marshall on 1 April 1907. The station closed on 22 July 1958 and was demolished.[1][2]

In the early 2000s the State Government used the Grovedale name for a proposed station to serve the southern suburbs of Geelong. In December 2003 Marshalltown Road was selected as the site,[3] with the name of the station being changed to Marshall in September 2004,[4] after the station that was originally located on the site.

Marshall opened to passenger on 26 April 2004 and was initially served only by Warrnambool line services. From September 2005 it began to be served by Geelong line services extended from South Geelong and became the terminus for most services.[2][5] Following it opening in October 2014, most services were extended to Waurn Ponds.[6]

The infrequently-used Geelong Racecourse station was formerly located between Marshall and South Geelong.
