Marlon Ritter (born 15 October 1994) is a German footballer who plays for Borussia Mönchengladbach II as a forward.[1]
Club career
In 2011, Ritter moved from the youth squad of hometown club Rot-Weiss Essen to join Bundesliga side Borussia Mönchengladbach.[1] After a year developing in the Gladbach youth system, Ritter joined Borussia Mönchengladbach II, the U-23 side, that plays in the Regionalliga West, the fourth division in Germany.[1] He made his debut on 28 November 2012, replacing injured substitute Ridvan Balci as Mönchengladbach II fell 2−1 to Köln II.[3]
His first goal came in the first round of the 2013-14 Regionalliga West, scoring Gladbach's second goal in their 4−1 win over VfL Bochum II.[4] On 2 November 2013, Ritter scored his first hat trick, earning his side a 3−2 come from behind victory over SV Lippstadt 08.[5]
