Mark E. Casse
Mark E. Casse is a race horse trainer. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on February 14, 1961. He is best known for his work with young horses and sprinters in Canada.[1] Since moving to Canada, Casse has won three Sovereign Awards as Canada's top trainer and is a finalist for 2011. In 2011, Casse won his fifth straight; sixth overall training title at Woodbine, Toronto with a record 119 victories. This was nearly double the number compiled by the runner-up. Among them were 13 stakes victories, including the Grey Stakes, in which Casse saddled the top three finishers.[2]
On July 6, 2014, Casse scored his first victory in the Queen's Plate, Canada's premier race, with filly Lexi Lou.
