Mark Cavagnero Associates

Mark Cavagnero Associates is a San Francisco, California-based architecture firm focused on cultural, education, and civic projects. Since its establishment in 1988, the firm has completed a wide range of large and small scale architectural and master planning projects for institutional, non-profit, commercial, and private clients. The firm provides a full range of services, from master planning, site planning, programming, and full design through construction administration.

The firm recently ranked #8 in Design, #10 overall in Architect magazine’s 2014 The Architect 50, the ranking of top architectural firms in the country. The firm was honored with the American Institute of Architects (AIA) California Council's 2012 Firm Award, the highest honor that the organization bestows upon a firm, recognizing distinguished architecture and a culture of mentoring the next generation of architects. In 2010, Mark Cavagnero was awarded the AIA California Council's Distinguished Practice Award for a career of exemplary dedication and commitment to the built environment. The firm's work has garnered numerous awards beginning with local and regional AIA awards for the California Palace of the Legion of Honor completed in 1997. Each year since, the firm has been recognized for design excellence, receiving over 100 awards from international, national, state, and local organizations.
