Mark Applegarth (10 December 1984) born in Newton Hill, Wakefield, is a professional rugby league footballer, playing at club level for Stanley Rangers, Wakefield Trinity (Heitage #1221), York, Central Queensland Comets and Batley, as a Prop, Second-row, or Loose forward/Lock.[1] He also represented the Great Britain Schoolboys in 2002 against the Australian School Boys. He was released from his contract with York in June 2010 to pursue a career in Australia. Applegarth played for the Central Queensland Comets based in Rockhampton in the Queensland Cup competition. For the 2012 season Applegarth has signed for Batley under his former Wakefield Trinity coach John Kear.
