Marius Stankevičius (born 15 July 1981 in Kaunas) is a Lithuanian professional footballer who plays for Bundesliga club Hannover 96. He was the Lithuanian player of the year in 2008 and 2009.

International career

Stankevičius also plays as a defender for Lithuania national football team. In the past, he has represented Lithuania at the under-21 level. He has been captain of the Lithuanian side in 2012-2013 qualifying campaign due to Tomas Danilevičius's retirement, but has not made an appearance since September 2013 loss to Latvia.
