Marino Curnis

Marino Curnis (born 7 May 1973) is an Italian traveller[1] mainly because of his travel on foot from Bergamo, Italy, to Iran[2] "Eurasia Pedibus Calcantibus",[3] along 6.000 kilometres and during 13 months (9 January 2006 – 7 February 2007).

Biography

Marino Curnis was born in Bergamo, Italy. Besides Travelling, his main occupation is devoting his life to various interests: he is writer, poet, musician and he studies languages, key for entering cultures. In 2003, he started to learn Esperanto International Language and he gets first and second level's diploma. He has the Nursery Assistant School Diploma and the two-years course Liceo specializing in humanities.

Travelling on foot and hiking

Alpi: Punta Rossa (Aosta, mt.3660), Pizzo Coca, Pizzo Camino, Pizzo Tre Signori, Corno Stella, etc.). He did twice the trekking "Sentiero delle Orobie Orientali" by tent.[4]

In 2003, he walked along the "Camino de Santiago do Compostela" in the North of Spain, from St.Jean Pie-du-Port (France) to Santiago do Compostela. 1021 km in 37 days.

In 2006 he walked from Bergamo, Italy to Iran in 13 months, through 9 nations (Italy, Austria, Hungary, Roumania, Bulgaria, Turkey,[5] Moldavia, Ukraine, Iran) and along 6000 kilometres. "Eurasia Pedibus Calcantibus".[6]

In 2007, he walked the trekking of Annapurna, from Besisahar to Pokhara (Nepal). 230 kilometres in 18 days. During this trekking he gets Thorung-La, mt.5416 above sea level.
