Marianna Palka is a Scottish-born screenwriter, director, actor, photographer and model. she is the co-star of the film Good Dick.[1][2][3][4][5][6] she is the subject of the short documentary The Lion's Mouth Opens.

Biography
Palka was born and brought up in Glasgow, Scotland and moved to New York City at age 17 to study at David Mamet and William H. Macy’s Atlantic Theater Company.
Marianna wrote, directed and stars alongside Jason Ritter, Martin Starr, Mark Webber, Charles Durning and Tom Arnold in Good Dick. It was self released in the US in 2009.
At the 2010 Sundance Film Festival, Palka was a Sloan Juror with the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. Later that year she performed in "Love Loss and What I Wore" at The Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles.
Palka appeared in Peter Mullan’s 2011 film "Neds".
Palka played the lead role of JEVA in director Jeremiah Jones independent film "Restive".
She appeared in the shorts "Spoonful" by director Jenee LaMarque and in Bryce Dallas Howard’s second film "When You Find Me".
Palka played a Scottish east side Stories book store worker slash hipster in director Nathan Sutton’s film "Autumn Wanderer". She starred in director Sylvia Sether’s short film "King Of Norway".
Palka appeared in director Tatia Pilieva's indie feature film "Forever".
Palka directed music videos for the Moby, "Last Night" as well as a music video for Rain Phoenix for her band Paper Cranes, "God Save All of Us".
In 2012 she was in The Ensemble Theater in Santa Barbara reading of "The Good Soldier", playing an English Lady from the early 1900s. She appeared in Martin McDonagh’s "The Lonesome West" at the Actor’s Gang Theatre, Los Angeles and in Conor McPherson’s "Dublin Carol" at the Ensemble Theatre Company.
She appeared in Nick Towne’s film "Day of the Dead", Bryce Dallas Howard’s directorial debut "Orchids", Glamour Magazine's "Reel Moments" series, and "Came" directed by conceptual artist Brock Enright.
She appeared in the HBO pilot "Derek and Simon".
