Mariann Byerwalter is a member of the board of directors of several companies, including SRI International, SchwabFunds, Redwood Capital, Burlington Capital Group, WageWorks, Pacific Mutual and Pacific Life and is the chairwoman of JDN Corporate Advisory.[1][2][3][4]
She was previously the chief financial officer and vice president for business affairs for Stanford University and a partner and co-founder of America First Financial Corporation.[1] She has been a trustee of Stanford University since 1992.[5]
Education
Byerwalter received a bachelor of arts in economics, political science, and public policy from Stanford University in 1982. She then received an MBA from Harvard University in 1984.[1][5]
Career
From 1984 to 1987, she was vice president, executive assistant to the president, and vice president of corporate planning and development of BankAmerica Corporation.[4]
In 1987, Byerwalter was a partner and co-founder of America First Financial Corporation, a position she held until January 1996.[1] From 1988 to its sale in 1998, Byerwalter was on the board of directors of America First Eureka Holdings and Eureka Bank, and was the company's executive vice president from 1998 to 1996 and chief financial officer from 1993 to 1996.[1][4]
Since 1992, Byerwalter has been a trustee of Stanford University; and from February 1996 to February 2001, she was the university's chief financial officer and vice president for business affairs.[1][5]
Byerwalter was named to the board of directors of SRI International in 1998, and named chairman of JDN Corporate Advisory in 2001.[1][2] In 2014, Byerwalter was named chairman of SRI's board.[6]
Memberships and awards
In 1998, Byerwalter received the Financial Women of the Year Award from the Financial Women's Association of San Francisco.[2]
