Mariah Bell (born 18 April 1996 in Tulsa) is an American figure skater.[1] She was the 2012 Gardena Spring Trophy silver medalist, and the 2013 JGP Mexico bronze medalist. She won a silver medal in the junior division at the 2013 U.S. Figure Skating Championships.
Personal life
Mariah Bell was born on April 18, 1996 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Her older sister, Morgan, is also a competitive figure skater. Mariah began skating at the age of 4 because of her older sister. [2] She graduated Ralston Valley High School in 2014, and was named the school's Super Senior. [3] She rides the unicycle to help with her balance and core strength.
Career
At the 2012 U.S. Figure Skating Championships, Bell finished fifth in the junior division. [4] She competed at the 2012 Gardena Spring Trophy and won the silver medal. [5]
Bell won the silver medal in the junior division of the 2013 U.S. Figure Skating Championships behind Polina Edmunds.[6] Then she won a bronze medal at the 2013 JGP Mexico,[7] and finished seventh in the Poland.[8]
At the 2014 U.S. Figure Skating Championships, Bell finished 13th. [9] She competed at the 2014 Nebelhorn Trophy where she finished fifth.[10] At the 2014 Golden Spin of Zagreb, she finished in eighth.[11] She finished sixth at the 2015 U.S. Figure Skating Championships.
