Maria Meer (Punjabi, Urdu: ماریہ میر) (born 10 October 1995)[1] is a young Pakistani singer from a middle-class family of Faisalabad. Maria introduced her voice in Pakistan Idol where she was rejected and insulted[2] by the show judges. Her audition video went viral on YouTube where she received much support from Pakistani audience against the Judges. [3][4] Pakistan's famous singer Amanat Ali inspired by the tragic story of Maria, announced to sign and groom her.[5] In the beginning of June, her song was released on YouTube where it gained much popularity and made her a celebrity nationwide and so on she was seen on a popular Pakistani morning show.
