Mareks Ārents (born 6 August 1986) is a Latvian track and field athlete competing in pole vault.Several times won the Latvian championship. Athlete's personal record is 5.62 m, which is the second best-ever result in the history of Latvian Pole vault behind Alexandra Obižajeva achieved Latvian record (5.80 m).He has qualified for 2012 Summer Olympics in London.[1] 2013th year's European Championship with his premises 5,50 m high jump ranked in 11th place, and not qualifying for the finals. In Poland city of Bidgoščā, XIII "European Athletic Festival" competition Marek Ārents won the pole vault with a score of 5.50 m. Heights 5.00 m, 5.10 m, 5.20 m, 5.30 m overcoming the first attempt; 5.40 m - the second and 5.50 m over the first attempt; 5.65 m height this time remained nepieveikts.
