Maramon is a small town on the Pampa River, opposite to Kozhencherry town in the state of Kerala, India. It is 12 km from the Pathanamthitta district headquarters, the town of Pathanamthitta. Maramon is famous because of the Maramon Convention, the largest Christian gathering in Asia. Maramon is said to be the birthplace of Marthoma Sabha. This place was own property of Maliyekal Family.

The T.K.Road ( Thiruvalla-Pathanamthitta-Kumbazha Road / SH - 07 ) connects the town to other major towns.

The nearest Railway stations are Chengannur (14 km) and Tiruvalla (17 km).
- Air
The nearest airport is Cochin International Airport and Trivandrum airport. The proposed rural Aranmula International Airport would be the closest airport upon completion, at 5 km away. An airport in central Travancore is an aspiration of millions of central Travancorians working all over the world who support the Government exchequer with much needed foreign currency. In central Travancore most of household depending on remittance of their sons and daughters from foreign destinations. Today they had to depend distant Nedumbassery or Triavandrum airports. Vested interested urban lobbies are delaying the airport with help of environmentalist and religious fundamentalists.
Significance
The town Maramon is generally recognized as center of Christian culture and influence in India. Maramon is also famous as the birthplace of 'Palakkunnathu' Abraham Malpan (Malpan means teacher), leader of the reformation in the Syrian Church of Malabar in the 19th century. The Mar Thoma Sabha is headed by Most Rev Philipose Mar Chrisostem Marthoma Metropolitan and Most Rev Joseph Marthoma Metropolitan.
